That’s what I heard from a marketing director at the Unbounce conference I attended earlier this summer. I put Drupal on my nametag and posted a few Drupal-related times to the conference app and that started quite a few conversations.

This poor woman was fed up with her Drupal website and was ready to make some changes. She finds it hard to create new content and it’s getting costly to update and maintain her site. And forget about trying to find a Drupal developer who didn’t charge outrageous rates to get something basic done.

Drupal 8 Preview from Drupalcon Munich - Simpler, Mobile, Marketer Friendly

There were several significant announcements about Drupal 8 in Munich this week. It's looking like the next major revision of the CMS is going to bring a lot of usability and functionality to the Marketers of the world. Here're the money quotes:

...the Drupal core programmers have been busy and at Drupalcon Munich, a series of significant usability and feature upgrades in the works for Drupal 8 have been demonstrated. These improvements are sure to please CMOs and CTOs alike.

This one really gets me excited for our marketing clients:

Content creation in Drupal 8 will be greatly simplified for less technical users. Drupal 8 will provide easier layout control and facilitate gorgeous designs with practically no coding. All of these features will greatly lower the learning curve for new developers.

It's looking like a huge step in the right direction for the community.
