It has certainly been a week to remember. The United States win one of the most intense and dramatic victories in its World Cup history from a late goal by America's newest hero, Landon Donovan, BP thinks they may have recapped the leak, Volacci sent off team members to two different DrupalCamps (Chicago and Denver), and the iPhone 4 was released to reports of issues. (taking a breath) Join me after the jump for new important tracks, dates, and deadlines for DrupalCon Copenhagen, as well as a modern look at human communications via infographic.
Do you have World Cup fever yet? Are you annoyed by the vuvuzellas? Are you reading this as the United States scorches the “jubalani” into the back of the ol’ onion sack against Slovenia? There is plenty of soccer to be enjoyed this summer and I hope you are able to catch it. But enough soccer talk.
As I head to Boston this weekend for Drupal Design Camp 2010, I wanted to share with you a few juicy stories that have come across the Volacci news desk. Acquia just finished up a code sprint that brought some great improvements to Drupal Gardens. And Google’s search algorithm update last month may be impacting your SEO. Another exciting week is wrapping up at Volacci! And as much as we all love our jobs, Volaccians throughout the office are looking forward to Memorial Day Weekend. More specifically: the smell of charcoal grills, cooked meat, freshly cut grass, and the sounds of opening cans and the sizzle of sunburns and shish-kabobs. But let's also not forget to honor our soldiers!
This week witnessed the release of the SEO Checklist 3 for Drupal and one of our country’s most scandal-free divas, Christina Aguilera, migrate to Drupal.. in a bottle. Baby.

With DrupalConSF2010 jet lag finally gone and CMS Expo in Chicago to look forward to next week, Volacci is taking a break to catch our proverbial breath and enjoy the spring-like weather.
It's been a busy week all over the world, with the oil spill spreading in the Gulf of Mexico, Europeans back in the skies, Gordon Brown's campaign guffaw, and attractive women causing earthquakes in the Iran. You should be glad you are reading this post and not doing something more EXTREME! But I digress.
Join me after the jump for this week's Drupal SEO news. Drupal 7.0 Alpha has yet another release, Google invests some serious cash in Drupal, and the "Google Me" official movie trailer awaits you.
It was a busy week for Drupalistas. DrupalConSF2010 officially ended Wednesday, but most of us are still there in spirit. An impromptu Drupal convention was successfully put together in Antwerp, Belgium for all the European Drupalistas who couldn’t talk their airlines into flying through volcanic ash! It was a fun week for Volacci as well. We gave away an iPad to a lucky DrupalCon attendant via an interactive search contest. Our SEO pre-conference training session was a huge success all around. And my session on Conversion Rate Optimization was a blast! For more news from San Francisco, Google’s new Google Places, and Whitehouse.gov releasing their open source coding, join me after the jump.
After a much anticipated wait, I finally got my iPad delivered to Volacci's offices in Austin on Monday. I can't begin to tell you how much I love gadgets and, this being the latest new release from Apple, I couldn't be more than thrilled! It's like my iPhone and my Macbook somehow came together to meld into one.
It's been an eventful week for Apple, Foursquare, and all you Drupalistas who are counting down the days to DrupalCon SF 2010. Drupal's Developer Summit kicks off the festivities in the Bay Area next week and the fun doesn't stop until nearly the end of April! For more details on iPad usage tracking, the Developer Summit, and Foursquare gossip, join me after the jump.
Last week, Volacci celebrated its 2-year anniversary with a segway tour of downtown Austin. We may have been the dorks flying around the sidewalks like maniacs, but it sure was a blast! The above photo shows our team taking a break from our seg-racing in front of the State Capitol of Texas. So far, it's been a good Friday and I hope yours is good as well. We are now entering the last couple of weeks leading up to DrupalCon SF 2010. People are putting together their survival kits and planning their non-conference adventures. But you can't go into a big conference without being informed! Without exposing the man behind the curtain, here is this week's Drupal SEO news, after the jump.
It’s a busy week here in Austin as techno-geeks, Drupalistas, and interactive industry leaders descend upon the Live Music Capitol of the World for the first leg of the SXSW Festival: SXSW Interactive (SXSWi). Starting today and running through Tuesday, March 16th, the best new websites, video games, and startup ideas will be networked and showcased throughout the international interactive community via panels, awards, the trade show, parties, and much more. If you’ve never been to SXSWi, or even the Film and Music portion, you are missing out on the most engaging, inspirational, and exhilarating experiences of a lifetime! I hope, though, that you are reading this on a macbook with your morning coffee, waiting for your first SXSWi session to start. So enough with all the creativity radiating from downtown Austin, let’s talk about some news in the Drupal SEO circles that may perk your interest.
