Three SEO Mistakes You Want To Avoid

As many SEO professionals can attest, more time is spent fixing the SEO mistakes of their clients than they would like to admit. As search engine optimization legitimizes itself as an art of communicating effectively with the search engines, thousands of articles online are popping up that promise great tips, tricks and tactics to implement for higher ranking. But until you conduct some of the basics changes to your site, you will never receive great rankings. Here are the top three SEO mistakes you can make:

1. Flash and Internal Java Script.

Avoid using a lot of Flash, DHTML and internal java script. They may look slick, but the search engine spiders ignore them all together.

2. Duplicate Content

Your website’s content should be original, relevant and fresh. If you have content that is duplicated internally, or copied from your competitor, you will be exposed.

3. Keyword Stuffing.

Keywords are great for your site. Too many keywords that are forced for the simple fact of getting ranked well is absolutely horrible. You can not only get penalized by Google, but anyone who actually tries to read your site will be so frustrated that they may never return again.

These mistakes are just a start to what not to do in an SEO campaign. There are so many different variables that factor into your rankings, that it may takes weeks, possibly months, to apply all the changes you will need to build, or re-build, an SEO-friendly website for your business. But don't let that discourage you, if you don't have time, hire an accredited SEO firm to do the work for you. The more you put off implementing SEO for your commercial website, the more business you are missing out on converting.
