Knowing Your Audience: The Humanistic Type

Welcome to Week 4 of our new series: Knowing Your Audience.

This week: The Humanistic Type

Humanistic types have a very "do-it-yourself" attitude and tend to put others' needs before their own. They are very creative and entertaining. They enjoy having personable relationships with others and thrive on human interaction. Typically they are slow to come to a decision.

Humanistic types are usually helpful, sympathetic, and willing to lend a helping hand or an open ear. They focus on acceptance, freedom, and helping. Typically they see things as a "big picture" and like to make sure those around them are happy and satisfied in their positions.

Attitude: Personal, relationship-oriented.

Using Time: Open-ended, slow-paced.

Question: Who has used your solution to solve my problem?

Approach: Testimonials and incentives tend to be the most effective form of influence.
