The Volacci Team

Ben Finklea CEO

Ben entered the world of online marketing in 1995 when he founded a web design company from his dorm room at Texas A&M University. Since then, he has worked in various capacities in sales and marketing, from tiny start-ups to Apple Computer. In 2001, Ben founded Sprysoft, an e-commerce store that successfully sold over $5M in software online to students, teachers and schools. Due to Sprysoft's success, Ben formed SpryDev Online Marketing in 2005 to use the techniques and processes learned at Sprysoft to help other businesses sell online. SpryDev grew quickly and changed names to Volacci® in 2008.

Ben's book Drupal 6 Search Engine Optimization was released in September 2009 and is available from Amazon.com.

Luke Stenis Creative Media Manager

Luke Stenis began his creative writing career in the trenches of shag carpeting, where he first attempted the next blockbuster Superman script at the age of seven. Shortly after his red crayon ran out, Luke was forced into an interdependent relationship with a pencil mysteriously referred to as “#2.” His passion for science fiction, high fantasy, and the occasional humorous fiction turned into a pursuit for success as an accredited author. However, an alternative personality of the musical variety diluted this dream with poetic and abstract tendencies. This habitual redirection led to an abusive relationship with metaphors. Only the occasional five-paragraph essay pulled him out of his sonic-induced haze of haiku infamy.

Luke received his undergraduate degree in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma in 2004, with an emphasis on copywriting and libation distribution. He followed up with a Masters Degree in Communications from the University of Texas in 2008, with an emphasis on Strategic Planning and Copywriting. For personal enjoyment, Luke plays soccer for Cameron Road United on the weekends. His alternative personality plays a blue Stagg acoustic guitar named Conahita and a Mexican Fender sunburst-colored bass named Sir Paul.

Brian Reed Account Manager

Brian grew up in the heart of bluegrass where he graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Journalism. After graduation, he spent the better part of the next five years traveling; playing concerts in obscure Polish rock clubs, exploring the Amalfi Coast with senior citizens living out their retirement dreams or in a made-up town in Nebraska writing and co-producing an award-winning movie. All the while he was honing his writing skills and finding his voice.

As fate would have it, his next diversion was New Orleans where he worked in radio and studied theology just long enough to meet his beautiful wife Jenna, but short enough to avoid Hurricane Katrina. After five years and two massive hurricanes, Brian and Jenna relocated to Austin where he works at Volacci and is blessed to play music on a weekly basis.
