Using Drupal and OpenPublic, Mediacurrent will be working closely with Phase2 Technology to create a site that is both transparent and flexible. "Mediacurrent is extremely excited about the annoncement that the City of Memphis selected Drupal as the content management system of choice for their redesign," said Dave Terry, managing partner at Mediacurrent, "The site will be accessible, intuitive, and offer local government officials the opportunity to truly engage their constituents."

Drupal sites nab top spots, nears 4% of the Inc. 5000 list

While Drupal’s global adoption is 2% of all websites, the corporate world continues to gain the significant benefits of the open-source CMS. Announced early August, the Inc. 5000 list, a roll call of America’s fastest growing companies, has Solazyme, a Drupal site, presiding in the #2 position. Goldline and Accuvant, up 180 and 1,800 respectively, hurdled over sites to their current spots in the last year. WellMed Medical Group, a company that helps senior citizens find the right healthcare provider, made similar progress, jumping 1,400 spots since 2010.
