Google can index Flash. Should you still avoid it?
Google just announced that they are now better able to index Flash. Flash, because it is mostly graphics-based, is typically difficult for the search engines to find. Pretty much any SEO savvy person will tell you to avoid Flash for this reason.
Rand Fishkin of SEOmoz says we should still avoid Flash. Fishkin runs through 7 different reasons he avoids Flash on his sites even though he started out as a Flash designer. In summary, he feels that the indexing is still too unreliable for something so important.
