Web developing firm TradeMark Media is partnering with Knowbility, a nonprofit organization supporting independence in children and adults with disabilities through technology, to create a fully accessible course review website for the Texas Virtual School Network (TxVSN).

From the TradeMark Media blog:

On the site, users can review electronic courses that are offered through TxVSN. Reviewers answer a series of questions about materials, such as PDFs and course websites, for specific online courses, and the materials are deemed to have either ‘met the requirements’ or ‘did not meet the requirements.’

Each question offers resources for users, such as how to properly test the material, and how to fix it if it didn’t meet the requirements. The site also features a My Activity section, where users can retrieve past results.

Read more about how TradeMark media included specific coding so that users with visual, auditory and mobility impairments could more readily access the site.
