Customer Success Story: Telco Data

Telco Data is a phone system provider in Austin, Texas. They spec, build, deploy and support phone systems for businesses of all sizes including the Austin Ice Bats and KXAN TV.

When we first starting working with Stacy Tallent, the owner and founder of the company, their website hadn't been updated in more than a year. Additionally, much of the site was rendered in Flash that was basically invisible to the engines.

"It was time for a fresh start," said Tallent, "But we had so much great content and I didn't want to lose it."

So, we built the new website using the drupal content management system. Drupal is an easy way to organize large amounts of published data. Plus, it uses a good theme engine called phpTemplate which allows us to make changes to the design of the site without touching the data.

After a couple of months of development and data migration, SpryDev & Telco Data launched the site on August 18th.

So, what about the SEO? Well...this had never happened before but within 2 weeks of launching the site it was already showing up in the top 10 for several of the key terms that we're focused on.

HUGE DISCLAIMER: This is an unusual result. SEO generally takes around 6 months to move into the top 10 positions, sometimes longer. I believe that we got these results because Telco Data already had a website established and had been doing good business in Austin for many years. Pulling the text out of Flash was a huge factor plus we got some good PR5 links very, very quickly. The results are typical of what we can do for our clients but just not normally so fast!

Google these terms and look for Telco-Data:

business telephones austin
austin business telephones
business phones austin
austin business phones

And, of course, Stacy is pleased: "The results are stunning, to say the least. I'm looking forward to the results SpryDev can bring us in five or six months."
