Ben Finklea CEO

Ben entered the world of online marketing in 1995 when he founded a web design company from his dorm room at Texas A&M University. Since then, he has worked in various capacities in sales and marketing, from tiny start-ups to Apple Computer. In 2001, Ben founded Sprysoft, an e-commerce store that successfully sold over $5M in software online to students, teachers and schools. Ben formed SpryDev Online Marketing in 2005 to use the techniques and processes learned at Sprysoft to help other businesses sell online. SpryDev grew quickly and changed names to Volacci® in 2008.

Ben's book Drupal 6 Search Engine Optimization was released in September 2009 and is available from Amazon.com. In Dec 2010, Lullabot released their Drupal SEO Video on DVD starring Ben.

Kylon Gustin VP of Sales

Kylon brings with him over 25 years of experience in sales management and leadership in the software and services markets. In his role at Volacci, Kylon assumes responsibility and accountability for sales revenue goals, building the sales organization, demonstrating consistent activity disciplines to maximize new business development and assure perpetual pipeline growth, and consistently close high-value deals.

Previously, Kylon Gustin was president of Business Resource Inc., a software company targeting Fortune 500 customers with business planning and marketing strategy solutions that incorporated Michael Porter’s Five Forces of Competition Model. He was also responsible for developing, managing, forecasting and implementing all sales strategies and marketing initiatives at the company.

Prior to that, Kylon was a technical sales support engineer and customer product trainer at Genesis Software Group, Inc., a developer and seller of Point of Sale and Accounting software to vertical markets.

Tim Sharp Director of Business Development

Tim is a SoCal transplant making the most of his current landlocked state. Tim graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a degree in Liberal Arts, which he has voraciously applied to his career in sales and business development. He's held various roles in sales and marketing but loves the adrenaline and nitty-gritty of working with smaller companies because it gives him the opportunity to be creative and nurture his projects.

Tim is the captain of a tennis team and joins Erik Wagner as a fellow Crossfitter. Tim has a mellow side as well -- he loves to relax on his porch and enjoy his morning cup of coffee. But what he really loves to do is spend time with his lovely wife, Shellee, and try and keep up with his boys, Zach, Tyler, and Austin.

Erik Wagner Internet Marketing Manager

Erik hails from Worcester, Massachusetts, the second largest city in New England. As the token "yankee" at Volacci, Erik spent his formative years in Maine, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania. Erik graduated from Union College in Schenectady, New York with his B.A. in Political Science and minors in Philosophy and Religious Studies. He wisely defected to Texas following graduation.

Erik created his first website at the age of 11 and hasn't stopped since. An entrepreneur at heart, Erik started free-lance designing and developing web sites, branding materials, and marketing collateral for small companies at the age of 14.
 
In 2008, Erik joined Volacci as the first full-time employee. Since he joined, Erik has progressed from an Internet Marketing Coordinator to managing the marketing team as an Internet Marketing Manager. Erik now splits his time between creating and developing Volacci's product line, developing and executing Volacci's marketing strategy, managing the marketing team, and working on clients' campaigns.
 
Erik enjoys long walks on the beach, puppies, CrossFit, fast cars, blues, good whiskey, and a tasty cigar. Erik currently resides in Austin, Texas with his girlfriend Walker and his Brussels Griffon, Albert.

Jayne Maze Office Manager

Born and raised in Southern California, Jayne moved to Texas more than 20 years ago and considers Texas home. After eight years as a small business owner, Jayne decided to return to the corporate world and brings years of experience in accounting, HR and office management to Volacci. Jayne considers herself the "Office Mom" and enjoys making sure everyone is happy.

Jayne has two grown children that both live in Austin. Her daughter began her teaching career this year and her son is an aspiring professional golfer. Activities she enjoys include dancing (especially Country Western and West Coast Swing), live music, exploring the many fabulous restaurants in Austin, and anything outdoors.

Steve Joiner Internet Marketing Coordinator

Steve was born in El Paso but has spent most of his life in Austin. He brings more than 20 years of project management experience, mostly in information technology, to the table. A graduate of St. Edward's University, Steve has a B.A. in Personnel Management. Steve enjoys computers as a hobby, as well as watching college sports and the NFL, especially on his really big TV. Steve and his wife have three great kids who reside in New York and Austin. Three little canine friends, Sherlock, Jake and Joey, also hang out with them in their suburban home.

Mitch Holt Internet Marketing Coordinator, SEO Specialist

Mitch Holt is an Internet Marketing Coordinator at Volacci. He has a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Abilene Christian University, a background in writing and entrepreneurship, and utilizes both to bring a profitable, customized approach to each of his clients’ Internet marketing strategies. Mitch grew up in New England and brings a love for the Red Sox, music and Mexican food to the Volacci table.

Hailing from the dirty South, Lauren graduated with a degree in photojournalism from the University of Texas after first dabbling around at the University of Georgia. Her lifetime goal is to attend every World Cup until she's too old to get on a plane to get there. Between World Cups, she enjoys camping, couch surfing, bike riding and photography. Jordan Ochel Conversion Specialist

In 2009, during the height of the economic crisis, Jordan graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor with a degree in Economics and a minor in Visual Arts & Design. Unlike many of his fellow graduates, he was fortunate enough to find a job. Although his primary career background is in banking, he brings with him a multitude of experience in several industries including: consulting, management, marketing, web design, and graphic design. With his wide range of experience, his Google Analytics certification, and his autodidactic characteristic, Jordan has acquired a sound knowledge of Conversion Optimization which he now uses at Volacci.

Resalin is proud to be the Content Specialist here at Volacci. Not only is the office kitchen stocked with almond biscottis, she’s thrilled to finally be using her education to strategize, distribute and create compelling content for clients in a variety of industries. Resalin went to NYU, where she earned a master's degree in magazine writing.

When she’s not geeking out over words, she likes to attend as many concerts as possible, perfect her chocolate chip cookie recipe, and root for her sports teams: the Mavs, the ‘Boys, and the Saints.
